Antony de Vries

Antony started the dVT Group journey in 1995 having collected over two decades of experience, including with Australia’s largest accounting firms.

His vision was to create a firm that provided trusted services to individuals and businesses in a way that would make a real and practical difference.

Through his understanding of people and persistence, Antony has directed the firm’s positive culture and has overseen its expansion over the past 23 years to today’s offering with over 35 professional staff across our Parramatta and Sydney offices.

The specialised services now offered by dVT Group include business strategy and succession, business turnaround, personal and corporate insolvency as well as a full suite of investigation and forensic services.

Antony has also published the book “Life after Business” which is a complete guide to Business Succession Planning.

Riad Tayeh

Riad began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, moving to Ferrier Hodgson Sydney, and then Ferrier Hodgson Hong Kong. For ten years he specialised in insolvency, corporate restructure, financial investigation and turnaround strategy. In the Hong Kong market Riad restructured listed companies, managed major liquidations, undertook fraud investigations and provided litigation support.

He has also assisted various companies in restructuring, obtaining equity, acquiring businesses and implementing exit strategies.

Riad has over 30 years insolvency and accounting experience and enjoys a reputation as a tough-minded and astute practitioner, offering clients an energetic and practical approach to business solutions.

David Solomons

After a distinguished career in education and commerce, David joined the ranks of the insolvency profession and has been a valuable asset to our firm in the areas of corporate insolvency, external administrations and personal insolvency.

In particular, David has extensive experience in voluntary administrations, receiverships and liquidations.

His expertise in handling difficult scenarios and complex situations has been a strength of his professional approach to each and every matter.

Suelen McCallum

Suelen developed her skills with some of the profession's most influential figures, becoming a manager with PPB Sydney and then working in the commercial field for a number of years. Suelen has now returned to professional practice and joined the deVriesTayeh group in 2002.

Antony Resnick

Before migrating to Australia in January 2003, Antony ran the Grant Thornton South African Insolvency Practice as Managing Director for 10 years. Prior to that, Antony spent three years at KPMG during which time he became a Registered Liquidator and Trustee in Bankruptcy. Antony attained 18 years of experience in South Africa.

His first 6 years in Australia saw him actively involved in commercial undertakings and various businesses, gaining a practical understanding of business in Australia. Antony then joined BRI Ferrier as a Director in 2009 and later became an equity partner in 2013 and remained so until 2015.

Glenn Ashcroft

Glenn has widespread business advisory, commercial and restructuring experience gained from decades of hands-on roles in the finance and banking sector.

He also has extensive experience from many years working in multinational corporates in the areas of management, accounting, treasury, credit management, sales and marketing (in both start-ups and established businesses), mergers and acquisitions, e-business, digitisation and outsourcing.

Glenn is an astute advisor and for the past 15 years, has held senior roles in professional service firms specializing in areas of forensics, turnaround management and personal and corporate insolvency.

Brendan Ryan

Brendan started his career as a research scientist in 1995 before moving into banking and finance whilst living and working in the UK. Upon returning to New Zealand, Brendan continued in banking joining the prestigious ANZ global leadership programme. Brendan then accepted a strategic role and was responsible for the implementation of one of his own projects. The runaway success of this project saw him implement the same project into the Australian market in 2002, again achieving considerable success.

Brendan continued with ANZ in several roles including that of Manager of Operations for the Pacific Region. In 2011 Brendan undertook a career change and joined a large scientific consulting firm where he was responsible for restructuring the company. A year later he successfully established his own management consulting business.

Rory Muscat

Rory’s professional background includes an extensive banking career spanning 34 years, ranging from Personal Banking, Business Banking and Private Banking to Senior Management in Westpac, AMP Bank, NAB and Bankwest. During this period Rory developed and built Relationship Management Teams and Private Banking on a culture of customer centricity.

Rory is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), where he adopts a process using five steps to ensure a successful transition from business. He has also held Directorships with the Manly Warringah Rugby League Club between 2011 and 2014 and has been actively involved in the Manly Sea Eagles since their privatisation in 2002.

To balance his professional life, Rory enjoys quality time with his family and still plays cricket and touch football with his three sons as well as being actively involved with various charitable communities.

Chris Skepevski

Chris has spent many years working with secured lenders in Australia and has been involved in matters including assessments as to solvency, investigating accountant reviews, financial investigations and restructuring of ASX listed companies through the Voluntary Administration process.

He has been involved in a number of large-scale corporate restructuring assignments involving cross-border insolvency issues and has been successful in restructures of a number of businesses in a diverse range of industries.

Troy Graham

Troy has over 8 years’ experience in restructuring and insolvency appointments across a range of industry sectors.

He has substantial experience in both formal and informal insolvency appointments including receiverships, voluntary administrations, deeds of company arrangements, liquidations and investigations.

Troy has also undertaken a secondment at Coleman Grieg Lawyers in their litigation and dispute resolution team.

Anne Floyd

Anne Floyd joined the dVT Group in early 2014. Her experience and expertise comes from over 17 years working in senior marketing roles for multinational firms such as Nestle Australia, Playtex as well as in a consulting capacity for various organisations.

Tibor Karolyi

Tibor has over 20 years of bankruptcy experience as a senior manager with AFSA. He spent the last 12 months as the acting Deputy Official Receiver managing the Bankruptcy Registry and setting up the Official Receivers Notices team.

His experience has been across all types of bankruptcy matters including complex investigations, tracing exercises, complex legal recoveries as well as dealing with difficult and vexatious litigants.

Tibor has also appeared in Court on behalf of both the Official Trustee in Bankruptcy and the Official Receiver and regularly instructs solicitors and barristers when required to achieve the desired outcomes.

Bob Cruickshanks

Bob is a valued member of our dVT Bankruptcy Team. He brings a wealth of experience and acquired knowledge in this area and enjoys educating and mentoring other members of the team.

He also shares his knowledge as an author of the Bankruptcy chapter in both the Law Handbook and the Lawyers Practice Manual and as a speaker at Bankruptcy Conferences. He has an ongoing interest in how the courts interpret the evolving Bankruptcy Act and the associated legislation.

Anthony Bagala

Anthony’s career originally developed in the areas of business services, taxation accounting and insolvency working for boutique and middle tier SME’s in Perth and Sydney during 2000 and 2008. During that time Anthony developed skills in personal and corporate insolvency having managed a variety of insolvency administrations along with skills in accounting, taxation, audit and consultancy.

He also has several years of experience as a tax accountant from his early career life leading him to becoming a Registered Tax Agent in 2008.

Faris Odisho

Faris manages Information Technology at dVT Group which involves specialist services of recovering, collecting and analysing recovered data or live current data that is in use by the client.

With his combined digital forensics and business advisory theory, he is able to provide practical and commercial solutions for use in legal or business disputes to facilitate with investigations of business transactions.

Luke Coppin

Luke has gained more than ten years insolvency experience in BRW’s top 100 accounting firms. He is a member of both the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

His experience is varied and includes the preparation of briefs to assist with Public Examinations, when required.

In his spare time, Luke is an enthusiastic gardener and sits on the executive committee for the Turramurra Lookout Community Garden.
